It’s our baby!
This is Hal posting at about 11:15 PDT Monday night, Audrey’s tuckered out.
Today was the day for the ultrasound (yea!) and the amniocentesis (ugh!). But we came home with several blurry pictures of our 15-week old baby! You may have to use your imagination a bit… They measured the femur, cranial width, breadth, and circumference, and a foot for determining how far along things are. The results ranged from 15 weeks, 3 days for the skull to 14 weeks, 6 days for the foot measurement. So we might be looking at November 24 instead of 29. It’s just a better educated guess at this point. OK, I’ll just remind your all that our copy of Photoshop didn’t come with the ‘talent’ module, but I tried to get the pictures as good as I could. Let us know if you can’t see them.

Lying on the right side (head to the left) looking at these people intruding. The placental body is above, the left central dark area is amniotic fluid.

This one is a little tough to see. The semi-circle on the left is the cranial vault, the central white area is the bottom part of the face, and the larger light semi-circle is ribs.

This one is the face and one arm (I think) nestled in the amniotic fluid (dark), surrounded by placenta on the right and the uterus.

This is the left foot. Another of the things that get measured. The imaging computer is very, very cool. They can rotate the point of view around based on the information from the camera without moving it.
